Frequently Asked Questions:

What is The Crider Foundation?

The Crider Foundation is a non-profit organization founded with the goal of providing support to individuals and families facing hardship. Our team is dedicated to helping those who may fall through the cracks of traditional aid systems and connecting them with the resources they need to regain stability. The Crider Foundation currently makes one donation per week due to limited resources. To qualify to receive a donation, simply submit an Application for Assistance.

What programs do you offer?

Grocery Giveaways - One person will be selected per week from our Helplist of submissions to receive a donation of groceries. The Crider Foundation will send a team member to personally purchase and deliver groceries to a local family or individual in Georgia.

Spotlight Donations - In addition to food donations, The Crider Foundation is prepared to donate our resources to meet a variety of needs (repairs, mechanic services, cleaning services, and monetary donations)

Food/Clothing Drives - The Crider Foundation aims to organize two to four canned food/clothing drives per year and will collect canned foods and clothing items to donate to food pantries, womens shelters and clothes closets across the state of Georgia.

How do you determine who receives help?

After The Crider Foundation receives your application for assistance, we will add you to the Helplist. Every person on the Helplist will eventually receive help in one form or another. The recipient is chosen from the Helplist based on an applicant's immediate needs and what resources The Crider Foundation currently has available.

Why should I donate to The Crider Foundation?

Nobody should have to choose between feeding their family or paying a bill. With increasing inflation, basic needs are getting harder and harder for individuals to meet for themselves or their families. The Crider Foundation uses their resources to assist who we can, but our resources are extremely limited. Our non-profit organization is still in its infancy, so we rely on small donations from generous individuals and businesses.

Is my donation to The Crider Foundation tax deductible?

Since The Crider Foundation is a newly formed non-profit organization, our 501(c)(3) tax exemption status is still pending. We are able to receive donations while we are waiting for approval, but please keep in mind that any donation over the amount of $250 is not considered to be a charitable contribution. For this reason, we encourage all potential donors to give in smaller amounts.
